TERM 2 PASSION PROJECT PROPOSAL

This term you have about 6 weeks to complete your project.  Fill out the following questions for your proposal, your teacher will comment to give you approval.

My Passion Project title is…  

How to do tie die.

What is my big question to guide my learning?

How to make different patterns using tie die.

What are my three supporting smaller questions?

1) how to make a circle with tie die.

2) How to make a smiley face using tie die.

3) How to make a rainbow pattern.

I chose this particular topic because….(give three reasons why?)

Because I have never done tie die before.

For one of the shows for school they had tie die tops and I wanted to now how to make them

I have seen people make them and they say that they are easy to make so I wanted to give it a try.

What are some possible ways I could share my learning?  Choose 3 possible ways.

1) Poster.

2) slide show.

3) Bringing the t- shirts.

What materials will I need to accomplish my task?

We will need t- shirts, tie die maker, rabber bands,plastic bags, water to add to the bottles.

What problems do I foresee occurring during this project and what will I do to solve them?

Not being able to get the t-shirts, Not remembering to bring the tie die maker.

When problems come up, who can I contact for support / assistance? (Mentor)

WEEK 7 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

We planted carrots, tomatoes and we fertilized the ground again and we

made sure the other plants had water on them.

What challenges did I have?

We had challenges with the wind it was blowing the stuff all around and

durt into our eyes and we had challenges with the water running out fast

so we had to refill and refill.

What am I going to work on next week?

We are going to work on putting fencing around the plants to make sure

nothing can get to them and eat them.

What are my big questions to guide my learning?

1)What will grow the fastest.

2)When is the best time to grow vegetables.

1)We wanted to do something good for the school.

2)We wanted to give healthy food to kids.

3)No one has done what we are doing so we decided to do that.

What materials will I need to accomplish my task?

Watering can , spade , gloves , seeds or plants ,  fertilized , rake , cover over it , bamboo sticks.

What problems do I foresee occurring during this project and what will I do to solve them?

1)The plantes might die.

2)some kids will stand on them.

WEEK 3 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

We started thinking about our poster. We wrote down about week 1 and what we made
in that week. We also did some of out eatable slime but it didn't work properly so we
had to threw it in the bin. It went really stringy and yucky.

What challenges did I have?

Thinking of a good poster title and what we did on that week. Also keeping on track
because we were getting distracted of the people around us. Also getting the right
textrue of the eatable slime

What am I going to work on next week?

We are going to make out gummy bear slime and think about week 3 on our poster.

WEEK 3 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

Making our first  eatable slime called the mash mellow slime. Plus
making our first eatable slime.

What challenges did I have?

Getting the right amount of things because we added to much and
it didn't turn out like slime it was really crumbly but the taste was great.

What am I going to work on next week?

Getting the right texture and amounts of corn flower and icing sugar.

WEEK 8 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

Adding on my detail to the diorama and repainting some stuff like the walls
on the outside. As well as finishing all the painting and adding more seaweed.

What challenges did I have?

Using the hot glue gun because I kept getting lots and lots on my finger
and it hurt a lot. Some times it was hard to not get paint on my jumper 
and all up my arms.

What am I going to work on next week?

Adding on my words and setting up my light.Some touch ups
on the paint as well.

WEEK 6 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

Getting my diorama started and painting my diorama.

What challenges did I have?

I got the wrong shade of blue the first time so I painted with that but then
I added more white to the paint and I just got the right color.

What am I going to work on next week?

My details and finishing my painting.This will take some time because I really
want to make it really pretty and neat.

WEEK 6 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

I wrote a bit more things on my printing sheet on my documents. Some of the bullet points
are from the people who survived some Bermuda crashes.I do have to do more reports and siteings in.
What challenges did I have?
getting the right site for what I typed into the search bar because sometime it
gives me the wrong things or gives me a completely different thing.
What am I going to work on next week?
Doing my diorama for the Bermuda and finishing my printing sheet for the diorama.
I will start my next writing for it to.

THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE

The bermuda triangle also known as the devil's triangle

Has many unknown disappearances and things gone wrong. The Bermuda stretches from Miami to San Juan

Puerto Rico and over Bermuda island. 25 planes and over 100 boats have gone missing in the bermuda triangle.

Some say its just harsh weather threw that eira and other say there's water dragons and dinosaurs from 1000s of years ago still living there even a endless hole.There's many myths and conspiracy theories. Here are some disappearances and what they reported back:

• 1492 christopher reported strange lights and sounds from the burmada triangle.
• 1812 boat with a family on it has gone over the burmada triangle and was never seen again.

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

Learning how many thing have gone missing and gone wrong and the Bermuda 
triangle other name.

What challenges did I have?

Finding the right web site with what I'm trying to look for.

What am I going to work on next week?

Finding more about what kinda things have gone missing in the burmada triangle

How did you go with your passion project this term?  Did you succeed or not?

I succeed because Nina and I got our poster done in time and we made it look amazing.

What were the skills/reasons that helped you succeed?

So Nina was researching and I was writing then we swapped .

 This helped us get it finished on time

and add somethings to make it look snazzy.

What are the specific skills that you learnt during your passion project?

We didn't talk much to each other and we would get all our task finished then

 we could get out poster done.

What are you most proud of with your passion project?

Our poster because we added lots of steps on how we made it and we added cool photos.
