GLENTUI CAMP REFLECTION
CAMP POEM
I see, White pale faces popping up out of the freezing cold water.
I hear, The frozen screams echo threw the small water hole with joyful laughs close behind.
I smell, gross slimy algae getting ripped off the rocks as people face plant on to the cold rocks .The sweat sends a salty smells up my nose- YUCK!
I feel, the slimy wet algae in my finger nails and feel like my legs are giant Popsicle sticks.
I taste, The cold refreshing water being splashed into my mouth as I turn around by my friends trying to make me scream
I wonder if I will dry on the way back.
That was camp.

Music, Ukulele, Term 1 2019
Music - E-portfolio Sample - Ukulele
This term we have been learning how to play some new songs on the ukulele.
We learnt to play the song “Sunflower” using chords where we play all of the strings.
We also learnt how to read ukulele tab and we practised playing one note at a time.
Explain how you read this type of music (remember to explain what the lines mean and what the numbers mean)
so 3 on the low line means low. The second highest line means medium then the weird Z means nothing it means silents. then It's the as the same thing with the 3.`

Bowls at the Kaiapoi Club
Playing bowls at the Kaiapoi Club
What was different about playing on the bowls to the hall?
the green had a really weird smell because it wasn't actually grass itssomething called water weed. It also bruised really easy so we had to be careful.
What skills did you need to use when you were playing?
how to roll the bowl smoothly and how to get it to go fast.but sometimes It wouldn't go fast so I had to focus on getting to get it move smoothly.
What was the most challenging part of playing?
It was hard to get in between the cones so I kept hitting them so it didn't go so far. Also I was letting it go in the air and then It would drop and not roll smoothly.
How did you overcome these challenges?
By aiming properly and lining it up before I rolled. Also to take my time and not to rush it and watch when I let it go to roll.
What did you enjoy about our bowls program?
Learning new skill that I didn't know about like how to get it to go smooth and that I have never played with real bowls.

Pre Camp Blog Post
GLENTUI CAMP 2019
What am looking forward to about camp:
On camp I am most looking ford to make new friends and get muddy anddirty. I'm also looking ford to the the river walk then going for
a swim in the water hole.
WHY:
Because lots of my older friends that have already been on this camp have toldme its really fun and its going to be a blast for me and my friends.
What am I worried about for camp:
I am a bit nervous about if they are going to have mosquitoes like they did at living springs
WHY:
because they got a little bigger then normal and they HURT!!!
A Goal I have for camp is:
To make new friends and to make better friends with my already friends. Also to have a better sleep than I did at living springs.
WHY:
So lets say if all of my friends are sick, I can go find my other friends and
play with them if i'm lonely. I need my beauty sleep.
What values and beliefs will I work on at camp?
I need to work on being brave.
WHY:
So I wont be to scaredto go on things I havent done before, mostof the time itsfunner than it looks.
